Le viaduc de Vézouillac
To do, to see, our favorites
- The Millau Viaduct : Exhibition and viewpoint at the rest area of the A75 (between exit 45 and 46)
- Our favorite restaurants : Quai 23 in Millau. Simple and very good bistro table at a low price. Word of mouth for cooking over a wood fire: nice decor, very good service and a young team. Le Jeu de Paume , local cuisine a little more expensive than word of mouth but very nice shaded terrace and cooking over a wood fire as well.
- Our favorite hike : Between Tarn and Jonte : A slightly sporty 10 km route with breathtaking views.Only 20 minutes from the house)... But the view from the Puech de Suége that you see from the house is not bad anymore.
- Night hike with vulture observation (in June, July & August) with Thibault guide every Thursday evening. Departure at 6 p.m. St Jean de Balmes. Hike of about 7kms. Picnic and entrance to the House of Vultures included. Information and booking on +33 (0)6.79.72.88.75
- Must-see visits :
- The Roquefort cellars (Papillon or Société) but our preference is for Roquefort Gabriel Coullet, one of the last independents and we offer you a flyer including -10% on their products in store.
- The Chaos of Montpellier le Vieux, entry to the natural site is chargeable but the walks and panoramas are breathtaking.
- The Aven d'Armand cave, unique cave in France by its dimensions: ideal if it rains or if it is too hot.
- The Sublime Point . Incredible view of the Tarn valley.
- Millau Markets on Friday morning.
- Eat, have a drink: the Pic Vert (next to the Tarn) or OKFé (Millau town centre).
- Activities and festivities near the House: Verrières Town Hall and the Aveyron Tourist Office
- Guides, nice hikes detailed by the Muse Raspes Tourist Office it's here
